7 Days to Die is an open world, voxel-based, sandbox game that is a unique mash up of First Person Shooter, Survival Horror, Tower Defense and Role Playing Games combining combat, crafting, looting, mining, exploration, and character growth.

Using this emulator will allow you to change the name of the Host.
The 3DMGAME.ini and Launcher.bat method should be fine for anyone not hosting.
This should work for anyone having problems with changing their name.

Installation Instructions:
1. Extract to 7DTD installation dir
2. Run Install_32bit.bat
3. Change your name in SmartSteamEmu.ini
4. Start the game from SmartSteamLoader.exe

The server can be joined from server browser or direct ip.

The original uploader ested with Evolve, it should work with any VPN Client.
